All sessions include high resolution digital images, so you can make all the copies your heart desires! If you are hoping to put together birth announcements, a photo gift for Grandma, or invitations to your baby shower, you'll want digital files!

For newborns, parents-to-be pre-book their baby while in the 2nd or 3rd trimester to ensure scheduling.  (Just like pre-booking a wedding photographer!  You want your photographer to save-the-date!)  Save yourself the stress of scrambling to find a good photographer when you just came home with a new baby.  You need to rest & nest.  No one wants to spend time shopping and searching for a photographer when sleep deprived, only to hear, "Sorry, there's no upcoming availability for a newborn session."   Sessions for newborns vary in ages from 5 days to 3 weeks old, details listed with each session description.  

Maternity Sessions are offered Mon, Tues & Thurs. Booked clients receive a location idea list, and clients are always welcome to find new pretty places too! For Beach Maternity Sessions, some restrictions may apply.

All sessions require a $100 deposit to ensure scheduling. The balance due is paid on session day.

What’s included?

I understand that shopping for a maternity or newborn photographer can be overwhelming. There are many talented photographers out there, all with different styles, packages & pricing. I hope this information helps you.

For the newborn sessions (other than the “Life with Baby” lifestyle session) , I bring professional lighting, cushions & backdrops. I bring outfits, baskets, crates, bear & bunny hats, fillers, buckets, about 100 hair accessories for girls and a bunch of hats for boys (I have a weakness for all those cute things on Etsy!). I also bring a variety of wraps & diaper covers. I also love it when clients want to provide their own personal items they’d like in a photo! You choose your preferred color palettes and combinations.

For maternity sessions, clients are welcome to borrow any of my dresses and flower crowns (look under the “extras” tab).

Your images are delivered in jpeg format on USB, typically within 2-3 weeks of your session.

The advantages of having your baby’s photo session at home.

• Home is more comfortable for you and baby.

• It’s more affordable for you! Studios are expensive to keep open, those costs get passed onto clients.

• Baby’s sleep pattern will be more organic. If you put baby in a car seat to drive them to a studio, they’ll likely fall asleep. Then you arrive with baby either refreshed or grumpy. The goal is for baby to sleep through the session (newborns can’t be posed when awake, and their eyes cross and uncross at this age when awake, they flail their arms, they’ll wiggle out of a pose.)

• Session time is shorter because you’re not waiting for hours for baby to fall asleep.

• Dad can opt to stay in the session room, or catch up on things elsewhere.

• If you end up with a C-Section, it’s recommended to limit car travel if possible the 1st couple of weeks because of the seatbelt.

• Siblings don’t have to wait around at a studio for their photo with baby.

• 1st time parents can have their dog be in a family portrait with baby!

• Getting out of the house on time with a baby is harder to do than you think. Ask anyone with kids! Plus if baby gets hungry during the drive, you have to pull over somewhere to nurse, which can take 20+ minutes. You’ll be late for your session time. It’s just added pressure and hassle that new parents can do without.
